Lisburn City's Lagan Corridor Running Trail

Choose between a scenic 6 mile (10k) or 1 mile riverside marked trail, using towpath and paths through parts of the Lagan Valley Regional Park.

 

 

Start and finish at either Lagan Valley Island Civic Centre, Lisburn or Aberdelgy Golf Club, Lambeg. There are good car parking facilities at lagan Valley Island Conference and Arts Centre, which hosts a range of exciting exhibitions, shows and events throughout the year.

 

 Trail running is all about freedom, you can simple walk or jog the route. Make sure you go at your own pace and enjoy the scenery and sounds of the riverside trail.

 

Target times

Shown alongside the trail map are some target times, if you wish to assess or improve your fitness. These times relate to males aged between 18-40 years old. If you are a female, under 18 or over 40 please add 1-5 minutes.

 

If you are not involved in sport/regular activity, it is a good achievement to simply walk the trail, without stopping. For those who are fairly fit, you could run the trail without stopping.

 

For those who enjoy walking or even rambling and orienteering in the countryside, there are several other beautiful areas, which are great to navigate your way round.
