South Eastern Sports Development Committee
This committee is comprised of representatives from the sports development units from all the council areas within the South East region (Down, Ards, North Down, Castlereagh and Lisburn), as well as representatives from coaching Northern Ireland and one from the Sports Council Northern Ireland and S.E.E.L.B.
The SESDC aims to compliment and enhance the work of local council sports development officers. This includes:
- Developing an South East area sports development strategy.
- Produce an elite training programme (level 2 or above) for coaches and clubs.
- Develop area wide coaching and events programme for young people including the South East Youth Games, Primary School cross-country and multi-sport clubs.
