Skills Development Centre

Throughout the year the IFA Grassroots Development programme run 10 week long sessions aimed at those aged between 6-14 both male and female. This programme is designed for both the beginner and established players of all abilities. Experienced qualified IFA coaches guide each participant through a programme of skills training based on the “Coerver” coaching techniques, which is then complemented by small sided-games. Delivered in a non-competitive relaxed and fun based atmosphere it is an ideal way for each individual to develop at his or her own pace.
The “games” development programme now running at Downshire Primary School on Saturday mornings complements the “skills” development programme further. This programme is open for all who attend on Tuesday/Wednesday evenings.
If you would like to enroll for the “skills” development centre then please contact the IFA Development Officer or simply come along on any Tuesday/Wednesday evening to the Sports Zone Laurelhill between 5.00pm to 6.00pm.
The next 10-week session begins on Tuesday 27th January 2009 for the 6 to 8 years of age group and Wednesday 28th January 2009 for the 9-14 age group. The cost per person for the 10-week programme is £20.00.
