Lisburn Sports Personality of the Year

These awards are organised by Sport Lisburn and are assisted by Lisburn City Council. They take place annually and are to highlight the outstanding sporting individuals and clubs within the City of Lisburn. Sport Lisburn encourages local clubs to make nominations in all the categories. The awards listed below, along with the bursaries awarded for the year, are all presented at an evening award ceremony.

The categories are:y

Senior Sports Personality of the Year
Junior Sports Personality of the Year Club of the Year - Under 18 on 30th September 2009*
Senior Team of the Year
Junior Team of the Year - Club*
Junior Team of the Year - School*
Coach of the Year
Merit Award (Recognises special achievement, hosting of events, sports people with a disability, voluntary work etc)
Club of the year (not necessarily based on results but reflects progress in relation to overall development such as coaching etc)
